This tour is a perfect blend of widely known attractions and hidden gem local experiences of India. Agra is an absolute must for any tourist, and who better to visit it with than Delhi by Locals? We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and head off to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. We’ll break up the four hour drive with a brief stopover at a local village halfway through the trip. While there, you’ll be served a nice hot cup of chai and have an opportunity to take a peek at what genuine rural Indian life looks like. Two hours later, you will find yourself amidst the hustle and bustle of the internationally renowned city of Agra. The glittering jewel of the city is the Taj Mahal, and its grandeur is truly maginificent. After visiting the Taj and learning more about its dramatic history, we will enjoy a truly local experience with a delicious lunch at a private home in Agra where you’ll get to witness the ritual that is Indian cooking. There’s absolutely nothing better than home cooked Indian food!

Post-lunch we’ll work with you to tailor your own unique tour of Agra, visiting the sites and monuments that interest you most. We can head off to the impressive Agra fort, which was the throne of the Mughal dynasty in India till the 17th century. Or we could visit Mother Teresa’s Charity Home where you’ll be able to interact with the local children that are cared for under its roof. Or could show you around Agra’s famous markets if you’re interested in a little shopping!
