About Pradeep

“My love for travelling and my love for showing my city to people motivated me to start Delhi by Locals”

Pradeep is the leader of our team and has been described as a “bright light”, inspired by all that Delhi has to offer and a love of sharing his city with travelers from around the world. Learning and giving back have been a part of Pradeep’s life ever since he was given the opportunity as a teenager to study English at a non-profit, where he now mentors students and teaches English and computer skills. Through his work with organisations including Manzil and Adhyayan, he has met other motivated young people who believe in the power of education as a tool to build leadership and break the cycle of poverty for marginalized populations. This strong connection to his students inspires Pradeep’s work and mission.

His journey as a tour guide began in 2008 when he joined Delhi Magic as a student guide. He continued learning how to design unforgettable tours at other companies such as LPTI and Reality Tours and Travel, where he was an Operations Manager. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delhi, he attended a year-long certificate course in Tourism and Hospitality Management at Whatcom Community College through the U.S. Department of State in Washington. When he returned to Delhi, he completed a Masters Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Indira Gandhi National Open University. He continues to travel as much as he can, touring in England, Canada, Nepal, the United States, and, of course, India.
He loves learning and takes every opportunity he can get to give back to the community. His love for Delhi stems from the fact that he was born and brought up here. His friends and families are here. He wants to show Delhi to the world because he believes that one mustn’t just come to Delhi to see its monuments; one must come here to experience the rich varieties of food, colour, people, festivals and cultures.

About Salman

"I love Delhi and consider myself fortunate to be born in this city, and I am very proud that I was born in India."

Salman is the storyteller of our team, and loves discussing the history of our country and city. He is passionate about being a tour guide because he takes great pride in making people feel welcome in the city he calls home. For him, there is no more fulfilling pursuit than sharing his love for Delhi with others. Salman is always excited to meet people from different countries and cultures, and loves when our guests share experiences and stories from their homes with him.

About Gaurav

“Delhi is a mix of different foods and people in one place.”

Gaurav is a guy who you can always count on to get the job done. He is a logical, insightful member of our team who strives to ensure our guests are happy. His most remarkable trait is that he never says no to food! Gaurav is from Uttarakhand, or the land of God, where all the mountains and rivers come together. He is proud to say that he is from Uttarakhand. His love for travel and his eagerness to meet people and to learn about new countries and cultures led him to tourism business, and we’re lucky to have him as part of our family. He recently finished his Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Delhi. Apart from food and travel, his two other loves are playing soccer and cricket. He believes that as a guide, he can explore things that he can’t in other jobs because every day of work involves learning about new people and their countries. His dream is to go to Manchester to watch a Manchester United soccer match!
